A Wednesday Diversion

Sometimes you're late for important zine meetings because you get distracted by plants on your way to the, ahem, wrong meeting place.
I always love being confronted by plants, but isn't there just something so special about urban plants? They're intentional, you know?

Urban plants are like, street smart and stuff. They have to be. Can't take shit from anybody.
Did I mention that this was a diversion on the way to the wrong meeting place? That I stood outside my pal's apartment building for at least 15 minutes, wondering why she wasn't answering her little intercom? Turns out our real meeting place was in Chinatown, and was closing for the night anyway. We had to hole up in a hotel (with coffee that may or may not have been free) and sneak around in order to use the restroom.
Sometimes flowers look like tissue paper that you may have dipped into watercolors back when you did crafts at school.
And because this wouldn't be a true blog post without food-porn shots of at least one meal...
Not pictured: French fries. If I could only eat beets and peanut sauce for the rest of my life, I'd be okay with it.
